A KETUBAH is a traditional Jewish marriage contract. It is signed by the groom, bride and witnesses on the day of the wedding ceremony. No Jewish wedding is complete without one. It serves a s a visable reminder of the covenant that the couple is entering into before God. It is traditional for the ketubah to be the first decoration in the couple’s new home.
DESCRIPTION:
The theme running through the Ketubah is 'TWO BECOMING ONE’ with the Hebrew and English translation meeting at the top arch with a double ring centerpiece above two kissing doves and flying with banners declaring "His Banner Over Me is Love" . Underneath is a chuppa (Jewish wedding canopy) with the Ketubah's heading in Hebrew: I AM MY BELOVED’S AND HE IS MINE.
Beneath the city scene of Jerusalem is the Western Wall representing prayer and above tambourines representing worship. Under the city is a set of tablets representing the commandments and within the text the wine and challah representing the covenant. The entire piece is held together by the words of Moses, reiterated by Yeshua in Matthew: For this reason a man should leave his mother and father and the two shall become one flesh.....Above the signature place for the groom and bride are the words from Song of Solomon-“ I found the one my soul loves” The pomegrante vine that embraces the chuppa poles is the Israeli fruit that symbolically represents love.
EACH KETUBAH IS INDIVIDUALLY HAND FINISHED IN 22K GOLD AND NUMBERED
