The Shofar (Ram's Horn)

"...In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last Shofar; for the Shofar will sound..." 1 Corinthians 15:52

The Shofar was used in a variety of ways, to announce the onset of the beginning of the Shabbat, holidays and to rally to battle, also it was used by Joshua to bring down the walls of Jericho!

In English, the word trumpet appears many times in scripture and many times it is referring to the ram's horn (“Shofar”) as opposed to the “Chatzotzrah,” a long, straight trumpet made usually of silver or gold (shofars are made from antelope horns).
